Not a whole lot is known about the men's lives. What you do know about Faraday is that he's a gambler, a slightly functioning alcoholic, he has nightmares and he knows how to do sleight of hand magic. Not to mention he's damn good with his peacemakers. At the start Faraday lost his horse in a card game while drunk and Sam used it to lure him into helping Rose Creek. Well, that and money. You learn bits and pieces along the way. He named his guns Ethel and Maria. It's plausible to determine that Faraday has seen some stuff. Some not so good stuff and it contributes to his nightmares. Probably contributes to his alcoholism and gambling as well.

INCENTIVE: Faraday's like the others in his gang would want the success of Rose Creek. He would want Bogue's men to be wiped out and for the others to be alright. But something else he wants to slip in there is he wants to bring back Emma's husband. Outwardly Faraday is selfish and childish, but deep down he's got a heart. Especially when it comes to Emma and what she's going through.

FIT: He's a cowboy. A rogue. Faraday gambles, drinks, gets into fights and causes trouble sometimes. He does all of this in not so good places. He doesn't usually stay in one place. He has an appetite for women and he isn't afraid to let it show. He talks filthy about women, but when he's around them he does polish it up a bit. He's boasted about being "the world's greatest lover" a time or two. He's charming and flirts if he likes what he sees. He will have no problem getting down with the cuddling and whatever he's gotta do. He actually would probably want to stay in Eudio given his fate back home. This place has everything that makes Faraday happy. Bars, women and people that just wanna have a good time.

CONSENT: So far it doesn't seem like he's broken consent. What Faraday's fighting for (and died to stop) seems like some broken consent. Bogue killed Emma's husband in cold blood and the other people of Rose Creek. He took over their town without their consent. Faraday is fighting tooth and nail to get it back. He gave up his life to stop this man from taking things from people. A man who boasted to never ask, but just take it with force. Faraday seems fairly respectful of Emma. While he is a little rowdy and mouthy when drunk he doesn't show any signs of ever violating consent with a woman. He understands that by being here he's telling these people he'll play by their rules and he won't start trouble. Faraday plans to do his very best and that's when he shines. Not when he's helping himself, but when he's helping someone else. Someone who needs it.

[ Dying was something he kinda always knew would happen messy. You don't piss off as many people as Faraday and not expect for things to get bloody. He kinda always thought he'd get stabbed or shot in the back. Seemed like the way he'd go considering his long list of enemies. Somehow he never thought he'd go doing something right. Doing something that maybe wouldn't give him nightmares no more. But he's pretty sure he was downright heroic when he rode out there. He's just hoping he didn't look stupid when he got blown sky high.

He expected to be in a bunch of little pieces. Too damn close to that dynamite. But it was the right thing to do. Took out those guys and the gun. Didn't matter that they riddled him with holes before he got close enough. He did the damn job. Nothing's like he thinks it'll be though. He's in one piece and he's got a guy in the stupidest clothes he's ever seen. Too damn shiny. No dirt on him. ]

You live in a bubble or somethin'? [ That's the only thing that could explain this. But then he starts talking about some place far away where maybe he don't gotta be blown into a million little pieces. Cuddling. What the fuck has cuddling ever gotten anybody? But he elaborates all physical contact is acceptable. Which makes Faraday grin. Because he likes more than just cuddling. He asks about a few things? Booze? Check. Guns? Check. Cards? Check. Women? Check. He's got conditions. Some obvious and some not so obvious. Maybe he just don't Emma to feel like that no more. She don't deserve it. If he can save that town and her husband then maybe he can do something better. ] Alright. Let's go cuddle.

ANYTHING ELSE? So. Faraday blew himself up. At the end of the film they can't really find his body so it's assumed he's basically not whole. Eudio will have to put him back together and he likely wants to take his peacemakers with him. He doesn't like people touching them without his permission, but he will definitely get a permit if it means he can bring them.
